A New Perspective
8March 18, 2013 by agirlikemee
Although both Kelly and I are still fairly new into this whole married world, in a lot of ways, we are a bit unrelatable when it comes to grasping the current state of the dating world at present. We grew up dating in what feels like a very different time with very different challenges. Our goal has always been to be as relatable as possible, even if it means outsourcing a topic or two and having someone with a better perspective than ours share with you. Which is why for the next two weeks, there will be a shift in who is writing for you guys.
We really felt that the best way for you to understand what a Godly relationship looks like and can be is to hear from some people who are right in the middle of a relationship. No newly married or recently engaged, but two people who are in the thick of figuring right now what it means to serve God and yet navigate the tricky waters of “dating.” We didn’t want to give you just the girls perspective either, we wanted you to see what a man sees as well.
So starting tomorrow, the next two weeks will feature posts from some dear friends of our Kelsey and Matt who perfectly fit the description we just mentioned. They aren’t experts or some forty year old couple with kids your age, they are just like you. And just like you, they are working to do life together under the banner of what they feel God says is a holy and honorable perameter for a relationship.
We’ve already read Kelsey’s posts for this week and we can’t tell you how excited we are. Her words are full of truth and honesty, and even for us as married women, we found a great deal of insight and conviction. Make sure to set your reminders and stop on over these next two weeks to read the amazing words this awesome couple has to share.
Love you girlies!!
